A teacher recently visited our classroom blog and posed the question, “What makes students WANT to write???” I thought I would give you the opportunity to reply to her question here on our blog. So….what is motivating you to want to write this year?

One of my favorite experiences as a teacher is when previous Tumalo 6-8 students stop by to say hello! Each time they do, I always ask them if there was anything we could have done to better prepare them for highschool. Through the years Tumalo alumni have shared some great words of wisdom with me. I have put into place many of their suggestions! I thought it would be great if our alumni would share some of their words of wisdom with current Tumalo 6-8 students, so here’s an invitation to all alumni! Please share your sage advice ! What suggestions do you have to help our students be successful middle schoolers? What do you know now that you wished you had know then??? Thanks ahead of time for sharing your thoughts and wisdom!
